Synopses & Reviews
The Innocent Molester is a true story based upon five years in the life of an African-American, inner-city high school teacher, falsely accused of sexually violating a sixteen year old child. It follows her early days of teaching within the institution, and provides a chronological record of events leading up to and beyond the trial.
This book is multi-faceted, in that it addresses not only the devastating ramifications of being labeled a 'pedophile' in a world where the word has disturbingly become commonplace, but speaks to the stigma attached to the teaching profession as a result of same. In addition, the story attempts shedding light on the corruption within our judicial system, and ultimately, its failure to enforce the rights of the accused and the victim ? which in rare cases, may turn out to be the same person.
