Synopses & Reviews
"I loved this fresh look at a familiar story, and the cat in the illustrations. It is important to tell old stories with new voices, otherwise we stop listening to them since we already think we know them." -- Donald Davis, Storyteller, Author, and retired Methodist Pastor
"The Stable Boy, Shirley Taylor's prtrayal of the birth of Jesus as seen by a child, reaffirms that 'All of us were created by our Father in Heaven . . . ' and Jesus Christ will always by available when 'the least of these' need Him." -- Rev. George Mitchell, United methodist Pastor
"A classic Christmas Eve book to share with children and grandchildren." -- Dr. Herman Ginger
"History's most blessed and timeless event as seen through the eye of an innocent child - this book should be required reading for young and old. -- Ronnie Stephenson, Forever Tymeless Treasures
"Shirley Taylor's story gives readers and hearers insight into the town of Bethlehem at the time of the birth of Christ. Wendell Hall's illustrations help us imagine that scene wonderfully. The young homeless boy touches our hearts and imaginations. Not just for children, this is a read aloud book for all ages." - Lauretta Phillips, Storyteller, Author, Radio & TV Host
"A sweet, inspirational story for all ages." - Suzanne Ginger
