Synopsis
Book number 12 includes three mini anecdotes about parakeets, rabbits, and snails who came to live with us, though purely unintentional. Their presence in our lives taught us new things, or at the very least that a trail of slime is quite important. Sadly, these sweet beings are sometimes 'throw away' animals that people can't or don't want to keep anymore. Worse yet they are not even looked to as being capable of feeling fear, loyalty, maternal instincts, hunger, pain, sadness, or love. Many 'overlooked' beings that aren't particularly warm and fuzzy, don't bark or purr their satisfaction, can't even be appreciated for their own place and value in the natural world, of which we are all a part.
