Synopsis
Collecting together for the first time four plays by young British playwright Thomas Eccleshare. Plays One includes: Pastoral (2013) is set in a surreal future where nature has overgrown to take over the urban landscape. Threatened to be cut off from her world, an old woman named Moll is forced to leave the comfort of her home and confront the ever-growing fertile countryside. I'm Not Here Right Now (2015) is a stunning play about a scientist with an unbelievable story to tell, while grappling with the spectre of her father's legacy. A smart rumination on the nature of truth and trust. Heather (2017) is an imaginative short play about language, prejudice the nature of storytelling and the role of the author. Instructions for Correct Assembly (2018) is a scintillating satire on parenthood in which a couple assemble a flat-pack DIY child.
