About the Author
Eric Carle has illustrated over seventy books for children, including THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR, THE VERY LONELY FIREFLY, THE VERY BUSY SPIDER, and BROWN BEAR, BROWN BEAR, WHAT DO YOU SEE? He has received many distinguished awards and honors for his work, including the 2010 Society of Illustrators Award and the 2003 Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, both for lifetime achievement. In 2002, Eric and his wife, Barbara, co-founded the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Massachusetts.
