HIBISCUS
Hibiscus are sunny, warm-weather plants for Zone 10 and high Zone 9. However, manyof us consider them "fun plants" and in May, in frost areas, buy a plant and treat it as an annual. In full sun it will bloom every day with usually a dozen blooms at a time and will last until freezing weather comes.

Temperatures suggested in this book are approximate. The growing conditions, for example, a warm, late fall, often will keep the plants from hardening off and a sudden cold snap has been known to freeze plants 20° above the normal freezing point.
