Review
"Finally! A good, reliable, readable and comprehensive anthology of Spanish literature, which covers canonical and non-canonical works and authors from the early Jarchas to Manual Rivas. It is a welcome book because it brings together sensible introductions to historical and literary movements, questions for pre-reading and classroom discussion, suggestions for written papers, and short bibliographies for further reading. Nothing like it exists for the college classroom."
