Synopsis
The peaceful life of a popular district of Rome, in the 40s. Then the terror of death, sudden fell out of the sky on the San Lorenzo district, by the bombs of the U.S. Flying Fortresses which on a hot day of July 1943, attacked the city.The dramatic nine-months occupation of Rome by the German army, the arrival of the U.S. and Allied liberation troops, ending with the wonderful assistance work carried out by the Salesians of St. John Bosco, for thousands of young orphan, homeless kids, emerging from the ruins of the just ended world war 2.
