Every year, the booksellers at Powell’s submit their Top Fives: their five favorite books that were released in 2023. It’s a list that, when put together, shows just how varied and interesting the book tastes of Powell’s booksellers are. So often these kinds of books are a good and accurate state of the problem but with few practical solutions. Not so with this book. It not only gives actual possible solutions, it really focuses on how individually these principles might be applied in one's own small world. But limits are not imposed and it seems possible to apply this same kind of thinking to bigger issues such as "making the world a better place". I am hopefully that I will be able to put some of these ideas (with practice) in play in my real life. Very exciting, I am encouraged and that has been a long time since that has happened.
