About the Author
J. G. Ballard was born in Shanghai in 1930 and lived in England from 1946 until his death in London in 2009. Ballard is the author of more than eighteen novels, including Empire of the Sun, The Drowned World, Crash, and Millennium People. He was catapulted to literary fame with the 1964 publication of The Drought.
