This is the best Christmas anthology I have read this season. So much fun! I loved how the four stories tie into the big overarching theme of Vivien and Boone's epic Christmas wedding. In the midst of a crazy snowstorm, a missing Mustang, an accidental fire, and a terrible misunderstanding, these authors bring to life an unforgettable wedding celebration in the unforgettable town of Deep Haven.
In "A Beautiful Sight", Vivien and Boone learn what it truly means to trust each other and be all in, despite flaws and imperfections. This story digs deeper into what it means to pledge one's life to another while in the throes of heady love - it compliments the last story "Sleigh Bells Ring" where Bob and Marilyn, Stella's parents, relearn what it means to be committed and all in after more than 40 years of marriage and ministry.
I loved Duke and Zuri's love story in "We're Happy Tonight" and how Zuri's true beauty turned Duke's grinch-like heart into soft malleable one. "Snow is Glistening" finally has Romeo finding his perfect match in Stella - where sense of abandonment, inadequacy, and fear of disappointing others melt away as they learn to help each other.
It's a must-read for this Christmas season. I received the book from the publisher via JustRead Publicity Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.
