Too often Euro-style games can feel like an elaborate game of group solitaire. Many games are designed so that player actions have little or no impact on the choices/options of other players. When I am craving a game with beautifully designed mechanics and lots of player interaction, my go-to game is Keyflower. Keyflower is a worker placement game that melds a brilliant bidding mechanic, with tile laying and city building. Keyflower is not a "beginner's" game and may be a bit much for new or inexperienced players. However, if you are looking for a medium-weight Euro-style game, where trying to derail your opponents' plans is as important to victory as executing your own, Keyflower is the game for you.
